NJ Transit publishes the terminal at the foot of Hudson Place, serving five commuter rail lines — Main-Bergen County, Montclair-Boonton, Morris & Essex, North Jersey Coast, and Pascack Valley — with PATH, ferry, and Amtrak connections in the same complex, and a ticket office at 1 Hudson Place open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays (NJ Transit).
The Port Authority publishes Hoboken PATH station at the same address as accessible, serving Hoboken–World Trade Center, Hoboken–33 Street, and Journal Square–33 Street via Hoboken (Port Authority). If you are meeting someone off a train, give the line and the train, not just "Hoboken." If you are being collected after a delay, agree in advance where the vehicle will be — the terminal frontage is a controlled bus and taxi environment, so the meeting point is settled at booking, not discovered at the curb.

The 14th Street pier is a long walk from most of downtown Hoboken with luggage or small children. A short car leg to the pier, then the boat, is often the sensible split — and a cheaper booking than a full cross-river transfer.

Tolls, and what your quote says
Every Hoboken trip into New York crosses a Port Authority facility. For a two-axle passenger vehicle, the published E-ZPass toll is $14.79 off-peak and $16.79 peak, with $23.30 for Tolls by Mail; peak hours run weekdays 6 to 10 a.m. and 4 to 8 p.m., and weekends 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tolls are collected only entering New York, and all crossings are cashless (Port Authority).
