Match the booking structure to how your day actually moves

In New York City, the right chauffeur booking structure depends on two questions: Are your pickup times and destinations fixed in advance? and Do you need the vehicle to wait outside or hold personal belongings between stops?

Booking a multi-stop roadshow or concert night as separate one-way trips often backfires if a meeting runs 30 minutes late or a stadium exit crowds the curb—whereas booking a simple direct trip from Midtown to Wall Street as a 3-hour charter pays for standby time you do not need.

When to choose Point-to-Point vs. Hourly Service

Choose Point-to-Point for direct A-to-B trips

Best for single-leg transfers with a known departure time and a single destination—such as a hotel to an office meeting that lasts four hours, a residence to a restaurant when you only need a drop-off, or a direct city-to-city transfer.

Choose Hourly (3-hr min) for multi-stop itineraries

At $120/hr (Executive Sedan), $144/hr (Executive SUV), $165/hr (Luxury SUV) or $200/hr (Luxury Sedan) with a 3-hour minimum, hourly service keeps the same chauffeur and vehicle dedicated to you across back-to-back meetings, site visits or shopping stops.

Choose Hourly when you need luggage to stay onboard

If you check out of a hotel or disembark a cruise ship in the morning and have lunch or meetings before an evening airport flight, an hourly charter keeps your luggage secure inside the vehicle between stops.

Choose Hourly for uncertain concert, gala or sports exits

Point-to-point pickups include 15 minutes of complimentary wait time. For encore-heavy concerts at MSG, Broadway openings or games at MetLife Stadium, an hourly charter eliminates the pressure of guessing an exact curb minute.

Wait time and cancellation rules to keep in mind

  • Point-to-point wait time: non-airport point-to-point rides include 15 minutes of complimentary wait time from the scheduled pickup time (airport arrivals include 60 minutes domestic / 90 minutes international). Beyond that window, waiting time is billed under our wait-time policy.
  • Hourly charter flexibility: during your reserved charter window (3-hour minimum), your chauffeur waits on standby at each stop and adjusts the stop order as needed within the service area.
  • Cancellation windows: standard reservations receive a full refund or credit when cancelled 24+ hours before pickup (50% fee at 12–24 hours, 75% fee at 2–12 hours, 100% under 2 hours). Review our cancellation policy for full terms.

Hourly vs. point-to-point FAQs

Can I add a quick stop to a point-to-point reservation?

Planned en-route stops (such as picking up a colleague along the way) can be included when you request a point-to-point quote. If you need the vehicle to wait at multiple stops with open-ended timing, an hourly charter is more predictable.

What is the minimum booking length for hourly chauffeur service?

Hourly chauffeur charters have a 3-hour minimum at $120/hr for an Executive Sedan, $144/hr for an Executive SUV, $165/hr for a Luxury SUV and $200/hr for a Luxury Sedan (Sprinters are custom-quoted).

If I have a morning meeting and an evening dinner 8 hours apart, which option is better?

When two trips are separated by many hours at a single location and you do not need luggage stored in the car, booking two separate point-to-point transfers is usually more economical than holding a continuous hourly charter all day.

Can an hourly charter end at JFK, LaGuardia or Newark Airport?

Yes. Many travelers book a 3- to 5-hour charter starting at their hotel or cruise pier, make several stops in Manhattan, and finish with a drop-off at JFK, LGA or EWR. Share the full outline when requesting your quote.
